Police Close Encounter Followed by Quiz Night Success

Tough 17 - 20 loss against North Police Scotland at home before a successful Annual Club Quiz

It was a painfully close finish for the Shire on a gloomy Saturday afternoon down at Woodside Sports Complex. North Police Scotland seized the win with a penalty in the final minutes of the match. As a result, the Police stay at the top of the Caley 3 table.

The team line up was forced to change at the last minute with Deeside RFC boys Chris Ballantyne, Iain Hay Higgins, Callum Hart and former Shire lad Jamie Stephen filling in vital positions. Many thanks from all at the club for ensuring Shire had a competitive game!

The Shire boys now look to their longest away trip of the season as this Saturday they travel up to Inverness Craig Dunain. This trip has an open bus for supporters! For more information, please see the previous post relating to this.

The match was then followed by the ever entertaining Annual Club Quiz, many thanks to Thomas Dugdale, Mark Littlejohn, Quiz Master Mathew Lynch and Malcolm White for organising. Special mention to bar man Paul Eden and Dugdale's Mum for the catering! This was then followed by some questionable Beer Pong.. A grand night had by all!
