The last Sunday in October saw us travel up to Ellon for a combined training session and games.The weather on leaving Aberdeen wasn't too bad, but we were met with rain as we arrived at the Meadows. The rain was never all that far away throughout the morning, but with all the running around the kids didn't seem to mind at all - only the parents and coaches! |

We started with the teams from Ellon, Mackie and Shire being mixed up and we swapped some training and coaching tips - some drills we've done before, some were new to us. It was good to see all the lads getting involved and enjoying themselves, mixing with the other teams. |

The games started a short while later, again with all the teams mixed up and playing with bibs. This was an excellent idea, as most of the games were quite close. After a few of these short games, Shire and Mackie joined together and played Ellon in what was a really close game., Each side scored about 10 tries each with James and Mark scoring a couple each - I think most of us actually lost count of the score. |

Again, everyone was very well behaved. Keep up the good work lads!! |

Once again a burns supper is being held at the Northern hotel on 24th Jan 6.30 for a 7pm start. cost £20 a ticket, all proceeds going to the colts. Therefore I think it would be good if as many coaches/helpers/parents could attend as possible. All raffle donations are very welcome. |
