After the success of last years event I am happy to confirm that this year it is again to be presented by Tesco Corp. who’s support shall help in making the night another to remember.

The club has again worked to secure a high calibre of speaker which I believe we have achieved in David Trick, former Bath and England winger, who by all accounts makes for an extremely entertaining after dinner speaker.  We have also secured the services of comedian John Scott, who also comes with an excellent reputation for providing an extremely amusing repertoire! Below is a little more on our speakers.

David Trick, aka Tricky played for Bath from 1979 – 1991 and played 247 games in total, scoring 171 tries he also played in the first four of Bath's National Knockout Cup victories at Twickenham.  A member of the England squad form 1980 – 1986, he toured Argentina 1981 and South Africa 1984 playing 12 games and scoring 11 tries.  He also gained two caps against Ireland & South Africa.  Trick is known to deliver a light hearted look at the world of sport and its many characters. John Scott, has been working in British comedy for over five years man and boy. He started out at The Stand Comedy Club in May 1999. And two months later he was doing his first full fringe run in Stand up Scotland.  Last year John completed another fringe run at The Guilded Baloon, after winning the Spike Milligan Award for New Talent Scotland in 2003.

The ARFC Dinner is now firmly established as the largest end of season event held by any of the rugby clubs from in and around Aberdeen and with the support of the members, friends and sponsors our aim is to build further on this success and ensure that the club delivers the event such support deserves.
